What if I could help you create a custom plan that will actually work for your the competing needs in your neurofamily—like when one kid needs quiet but the other kid needs to loudly stim, or when your child needs to climb all over you but you're touched out–without expecting one person to constantly give in, causing huge meltdowns, or leading to massive resentments and fights?

Hey Friend, I’m Kaylene

I'm a multiply-disabled Autistic adult, and I'm raising 6 neurodivergent tiny humans along with my husband who has ADHD and dyslexia.

We're what I call a neurofamily. (Maybe you can relate!)

I'm also a parent coach, and I have spent the last 6 years helping parents just like you develop the unique flavor of parenting strategies that ACTUALLY work for their neurodivergent kids.

In that time I’ve had the privilege of coaching dozens of parents with unique circumstances—toddlers, teens, non-speaking, highly verbal, comorbid disorders, single parents, only children, large families, homeschoolers, and more—and I’ve seen what’s actually working right now behind the scenes in families just like yours.

And these Competing Needs Power Hours are my chance to share those insights with you, so that we can take what's working and tweak it to fit your unique, weird, and beautiful neurofamily!

On our 1:1 strategy call, we will be creating a completely custom plan so that you can navigate one competing needs scenario in your family.

Here’s What We Do During a Power Hour:

You will walk away from our call with an empowered strategy mapped out, and you'll feel confident about your next steps.

Peek Behind The Curtain…

At this point you might be wondering what a competing needs plan looks like in real life...

So I wanted to take a moment and walk you through my own real-life competing needs plan for loud noises!

See, I have noise-sensitivity and chronic migraines. My son A-Man loudly stims and scripts. Here's how we handle it:

  • If I have to be in the common area because I'm doing something in the kitchen or I need to supervise the baby, then my son has the option to move to his room to continue his loud stim OR I'll help him find a quieter stim he can do in the common area.

  • If I don't have to be in the common area, then I have the choice to go to my room where it's quiet OR I can get my noise-canceling headphones/earplugs and stay in the common area.

Both of our needs are accommodated, both of us have options based on our unique needs, and both of us have a backup plan if this initial plan doesn't work. :)
