Already exhausted by the thought of fighting the school over IEPs, accommodations, or just plain basic respect?

Craving a smoother start to the year—one where you're not Googling “school refusal” or crying in the Target parking lot?

Torn between prepping your kid for the transition and not sending them into full-blown panic mode that ruins the rest of summer?

Back to School is for the birds.

If back-to-school feels more like a storm to weather than an exciting fresh start—you’re not alone.

Here’s the deal:

For neurodivergent kids, transitions are hard. And the return to school? It’s one giant, overwhelming, unpredictable transition.

New routines. New people. New expectations. New sensory inputs.

Even if your child is returning to the same classroom or homeschooling setup—everything still feels different after the summer shift.

The result? Meltdowns, shutdowns, school refusal, or massive after-school explosions.

And for parents? You’re stuck juggling logistics, emotions, advocacy, and sheer survival mode.

That’s where the Back to School Blueprint comes in.

This isn’t about doing more, forcing perfect routines, or pretending this is “just a normal part of parenting.”

It’s about creating a flexible, supportive plan that works for your unique neurofamily.

  • What needs to happen to make this transition smoother?

  • How can you prepare without pushing your child into overload—or pushing yourself into burnout?

  • What do you need to feel steady, clear, and ready for what’s coming?

You don’t need a color-coded checklist.

You need a blueprint that works in the real, beautiful, messy world of neurodivergent parenting.

Let’s build it—together.

But can you imagine…

A school week that doesn’t feel like an emotional rollercoaster every. single. day.

Being the calm, collected parent in the car line (instead of the one bribing with goldfish and desperate threats)

A transition plan that actually works for your neurofamily—not a Pinterest-pretty schedule you forget by day three.

In the Back to School Blueprint Workshop We Will:

  • Build a flexible, realistic plan for your family’s back-to-school transition whether your child goes to school, stays home, or does a bit of both.

  • Identify your family’s high-stress times—like mornings, drop-offs, or the collapse after the school day—and create calming strategies before chaos hits.

  • Learn how to introduce new routines and expectations in ways that feel safe and predictable for your neurodivergent child.

  • Get clear on what support your family actually needs—whether it’s school accommodations, co-regulation plans, or clearer communication with your partner.

  • Walk away with ready-to-use scripts for advocating at school, calming the morning rush, or redirecting mid-day meltdowns at home.

  • Shift from “just survive the first month” mode into a rhythm that feels sustainable and tailored to your family’s capacity.

  • Create your own personalized Back to School Blueprint that helps everyone ease into the season without the burnout, blowups, or endless resistance.

Because the school year doesn’t have to start with dread and drama when your plan is built for your neurofamily so that it actually works.

meet your host :)

Hey friend, Kaylene here.

I’m a multiply-disabled, Autistic mom of six neurodivergent humans, and I’ve spent the last decade helping families like mine create plans that actually work for their real lives—not the Pinterest-perfect version.

Back-to-school used to be pure chaos for us.

  • Meltdowns before we even opened the first book.

  • Battles over sticking to any kind of schedule.

  • A constant cycle of “this magic system will fix everything”… until it didn’t.

What I eventually learned was that my neurofamily didn’t need a better generic system.

We needed our own custom blueprint—one that accounted for our energy, our quirks, and our very real limits.

Now, back-to-school isn’t perfect (spoiler: nothing ever is), but it is calmer, more predictable, and so much more doable.

And I’m excited to walk you step-by-step through creating your own Back-to-School Blueprint so you can skip the trial-and-error spiral and start the school year with a plan that works for your unique neurofamily.

My favorite folks ask questions like…

  • Not at all!

Whether your kids are in public school, private school, homeschool, or something in between, the strategies you’ll learn work for your unique setup.

Back-to-school season is really about transitions, and we all deal with those—no matter where our kids learn.

  • This workshop is designed for parents of preschool through high school-aged neurodivergent kids.

You’ll be able to tailor the strategies to fit your child’s developmental level, sensory needs, and independence skills.

  • Nope! If you can’t make it live, you’ll still get full access to the replay and workbook.

  • Yes! Everything I teach is grounded in supporting neurodivergent kids without adding more stress to their parents. You’ll get tools that work with your child’s brain, not against it.

  • Absolutely. This isn’t about forcing your family into a “perfect” routine—it’s about designing one that fits your real life. Even if mornings currently feel like chaos wrapped in exhaustion, you’ll leave with a plan that’s doable and sustainable.

  • Probably not. But you will get a morning routine that feels calmer, has fewer battles, and maybe—just maybe—lets you drink your coffee while it’s still hot.

  • The live workshop will be about 90 minutes, with time built in for Q&A. You’ll get the replay so you can watch (or rewatch) whenever you need.

  • If I could bottle that magic, I’d be on a beach in Hawaii right now. What you will get is a plan that makes the transition smoother, less overwhelming, and way more predictable—for you and your kid.

  • You’ll learn how to create a flexible blueprint that works for multiple kids, even if they have completely different strengths, challenges, and schedules.

  • Instead of giving you a “one-size-fits-all” schedule, I walk you through building a plan from the ground up around your family’s unique rhythms, needs, and capacity. This way, your blueprint actually fits—and you’ll know exactly how to adjust it when life inevitably changes.
